Charles P: June 2013 Player of the Month

CTPolandCharles Pouland is a 5th grader at Carderock Springs Elementary School and plays on Koa’s 11u Travel Baseball Team, where he primarily is a Pitcher and Outfielder. This summer Charles is helping out multiple Koa teams, suiting up for both the 11u and 14u squads. This past weekend Charles had 3 hits including a RBI for the 14u team!
Charles is the model player for his summer ball coaches. He is a leader on and off the field with his positive attitude and love for the game. He constantly motivates other teammates and is always willing to help out other teams. Keep up the good work, Charles!

Taylor S.: May 2013 Player of the Month

369Taylor is a 6th grader at Cabin John Middle School and has played two seasons of field hockey with Koa. She was also apart of Koa’s first field hockey all-star tournament team in November. Taylor is always very positive on and off the field. Her hard work and dedication really showed throughout the season! Taylor was a pleasure to coach and we look forward to having her play next season.

Ally S: March 2013 Player of the Month

allyAlly is a 7th grader at Pyle Middle School who
competes on Koa’s 12u East fast pitch softball
team. She was the starting 3rd baseman and lead
off hitter on the Fall 2012 12U squad which finished
with an undefeated season. Ally is a model
teammate with a great attitude. She is a coaches
dream and leads her teammates by example with
her constant work ethic and desire to improve. We
are looking forward to seeing her succeed this
season!

Asher L: February 2013 Player of the Month

photo 3Asher is a 3rd grader at Wyngate Elementary School. As a member of Koa’s 10U Select Baseball team, Asher is a very positive, very focused player. Asher is a switch-hitter who has really taken to the challenge of learning this incredible skill at a young age! ¬†Never one to be distracted, he excelled in the Wednesday hitting clincs, as well as the winter workouts. ¬†He’ll provide leadership to his club this spring, and is a glowing example of Koa Travel Baseball’s future!

Cameron C. : January 2013 Player of the Month

cameronCameron is a 6th grader at Pyle Middle School. She currently plays Mudcat basketball as a memeber of the Sparks. Cameron always puts forth her best effort in both practices and games. Her high energy, positive attitude and love for the game have motivated her teammates throughout the season. Cameron is a pleasure to coach and we enjoy having her in our program. Keep up the great work, Cameron!!

Cody K. : December 2012 Player of the Month

cody kCoby K. is in 5th grade at Bradley Hills Elementary School. He plays flag football and basketball with Koa Sports. Coby is currently playing on the 5th Grade East Rising Star Select Basketball team. He had an outstanding appearance at the Maryland Flames Holiday Tournament where he was the leading scorer, hitting a mixture of 3-pointers, 2-pointers and free throws. Coby also played 3 different positions throughout the weekend and made great decisions on offense and defense that helped his team to be successful. His hard work and dedication really stands out on and off the court! Keep up the great work Coby!!

Grace S: October 2012 Player of the Month

 

Grace is a 4th grader at Our Lady of Mercy School and has played two seasons of field hockey with Koa. Grace always put forth her best effort and was a leader for her team on and off the field. Her hard work and dedication really showed throughout the season! Grace was a pleasure to coach and we look forward to having her play next season.

Ryan D: July 2012 Player of the Month

Ryan is a 3rd grader at St. Jane DeChantal who attended two weeks of Koa Multi Sport Summer Camp. Ryan was a coach’s favorite, always putting forth his best effort as well as being a great leader for the rest of his team.

Ryan excelled on the sports field, but also made a huge impact during other competitions, especially the team dance. He blew everyone out of the water with his dance moves and was often asked to perform in front of the whole camp!

Great job, Ryan, we hope to see you back next summer!
